Best badminton courts in Shah Alam
These are the 15 badminton court businesses in Shah Alam with the strongest overall record, ranked by a composite score (see our methodology) built from Google ratings, review volume, recency and review sentiment. Scores last updated 2026-10-18.
This is the all-round list, so venues with wider services (coaching, stringing, events) can score well alongside plain court hire. If you only want a court by the hour, see best hourly court rental. Lower entries have thin or mixed evidence, and some are stadiums or halls where badminton is a side use.
Picks are ranked by score and relevance to badminton court, so a lower overall score can rank higher here.

FBSA By Nuova Sport Arena

Pros
- Clean, well-kept courts and facilities
- Cafe, kids' playground, showers and prayer room on site

Watch out: Parking gets tight at busy times, spectator seating is limited and one reviewer found the lighting dim.
Services: Hourly Court Rental, 24-Hour / Late Night Courts, Tournament & League Venues, Air-Conditioned Halls
SPBC Training Centre
Why it ranks second
Scores a 4.9 from 33 reviews, so the evidence is decent but thinner than the big venues. Players like the thick, resilient flooring, which several say suits bad knees, and the skilled stringing service.
Pros
- Thick, high-quality court surface
- Kinder on knees and joints
- Skilled stringing service
- Affordable pricing
Watch out: Only a few courts in a compact space, so busy hours can feel tight.
Services: Hourly Court Rental, 24-Hour / Late Night Courts, Tournament & League Venues, Air-Conditioned Halls
SUK Selangor Sports Complex
Why it ranks third
The Seksyen 5 complex holds a 4.2 across 181 reviews. People call it complete, with roomy parking and clean toilets, and the gym is on the same site.
Pros
- Wide range of sports facilities
- Spacious parking
- Clean toilets
- Friendly staff
Watch out: Reviews mention a broken spotlight and an outdated contact number.
Services: Hourly Court Rental
Mansion Oncidium Hall
Why it ranks fourth
Rated 4.3 from 158 reviews, mostly five-star. The Seksyen 31 hall is quiet, roomy and has ample parking and clean toilets. Reviews are short, so court detail is thin.
Pros
- Spacious multi-purpose hall
- Ample on-site parking
- Clean toilets
- Quiet location
Watch out: A badminton player found the lighting dim and the air stuffy.
Services: Air-Conditioned Halls, Hourly Court Rental
FY Brothers Badminton Academy
Why it ranks fifth
A perfect 5 from 57 reviews with high confidence. The academy runs beginner-to-elite groups, regular sparring and tournaments, and parents report visible progress in children from age six. Coaches Faris and Ezzad are named for patience and personal feedback.
Pros
- Programs matched to skill level
- Coaches include state-level athletes
- Regular sparring, tournaments and camps
- Welcoming to beginners and families
Watch out: Recency of reviews is weaker than at the top venues.
Services: Coaching & Academy Programs, Tournament & League Venues, Hourly Court Rental, 24-Hour / Late Night Courts
Yosin Kampung Subang Court
Why it ranks sixth
With 441 reviews at 4.2, this is a well-tested venue. Players like the consistent stringing, clean courts, good lighting, fair rates and simple online booking.
Pros
- Reliable racket stringing
- Clean courts with good lighting
- Straightforward online booking
- Competitive pricing
Watch out: Heat builds up, courts get wet in heavy rain and parking fills at peak hours.
Services: Hourly Court Rental, Tournament & League Venues, Air-Conditioned Halls, 24-Hour / Late Night Courts
Frenzy Sports Arena
Why it ranks seventh
A 4.1 from 754 reviews, the largest sample among the dedicated courts here. It has operated since 2008, hosts tournaments and offers block booking, with clean toilets praised.
Pros
- Open since 2008
- Tournament-ready space
- Block booking options
- Clean toilets
Watch out: Reviewers flag dim lighting, tired nets and overdue fan repairs.
Services: Hourly Court Rental, Tournament & League Venues, Coaching & Academy Programs, 24-Hour / Late Night Courts
Forum SBA
Why it ranks eighth
Rated 4.1 from 189 reviews. Regulars return weekly for the easy parking and the badminton shop inside the complex. Only about seven recent comments carry text, so detail is limited.
Pros
- Central Setia Alam location
- Plenty of parking
- Badminton shop on site
- Good for casual sessions
Watch out: One reviewer found it very hot indoors.
Services: Hourly Court Rental, Coaching & Academy Programs, 24-Hour / Late Night Courts, Tournament & League Venues
Shah Alam National Sports Complex Panasonic
Why it ranks ninth
A huge sample of 3,421 reviews at 4.1, but sentiment is mixed and it is mainly a Section 21 stadium. Many say the track is well lit and good for sports days.
Pros
- Large venue with running track
- Well lit at night
- Very high review volume
Watch out: Complaints include dirty toilets, old facilities, heat and poor wheelchair access.
Services: Hourly Court Rental, Tournament & League Venues, 24-Hour / Late Night Courts, Coaching & Academy Programs
Shah Alam Badminton Centre
Why it ranks tenth
Rated 3.9 from 121 reviews. Regulars like the low weekday prices and cool courts, but the rooftop venue in an unused parking structure divides opinion.
Pros
- Cheap weekday play
- Cool courts
- Solid review volume
Watch out: Poor lighting, empty floors and dirty facilities make it feel unsafe after dark, especially for solo female players.
Services: Hourly Court Rental, Coaching & Academy Programs, 24-Hour / Late Night Courts, Tournament & League Venues
Dewan Azalea
Why it ranks #11
A 4.0 from 55 reviews, but confidence is low and most reviews are older. Reviewers in Taman Sri Muda describe clean courts with good flooring and a comfortable setting.
Pros
- Clean, well-maintained courts
- Good flooring for safe movement
- Air-conditioned comfort
Watch out: Little recent detailed feedback, so check current conditions.
Services: Hourly Court Rental, Tournament & League Venues, Air-Conditioned Halls
Sportizza Shah Alam, Batu 3
Why it ranks #12
Rated 3.9 from 67 reviews. The Hicom-Glenmarie complex feels modern, with many indoor and outdoor courts and a good atmosphere for spectators. Mixed practical feedback keeps it lower.
Pros
- Modern, spacious complex
- Many court types on one site
- Good spot for spectators
Watch out: Slippery courts, toilet water problems, full parking and no shuttlecocks provided.
Services: Hourly Court Rental, Tournament & League Venues, 24-Hour / Late Night Courts, Air-Conditioned Halls
Ninja Sport Shop @ TSB Sungai Buloh (Ninja Badminton)
Why it ranks #13
All seven Google reviews are five stars, mostly about the stringing counter. Staff give plain advice without pushing pricier strings. Treat it as an early read given so few reviews.
Pros
- Honest string advice
- No pushy upselling
Watch out: Only seven reviews and it is a shop, not a court venue.
Services: Hourly Court Rental, Pro Shop & Racket Stringing, Coaching & Academy Programs
Stadium JKR Shah Alam
Why it ranks #14
A 3.7 from 192 reviews for the Section 17 stadium. Recent reviewers like the track for jogging and exercise, so it fits this list only loosely.
Pros
- Public running track
- Set morning and evening hours
- Parking nearby
Watch out: Walkers and joggers share lanes awkwardly, the track is short and the nearby junction jams at peak hours.
Services: Hourly Court Rental, 24-Hour / Late Night Courts
Dewan Serbaguna MBSA U5
Why it ranks #15
A 3.8 from 134 reviews, but recent activity is low and the score confidence is low. The hall is spacious and used for kindergartens and small events.
Pros
- Spacious hall
- Suits small events
- Some praise for food and delivery
Watch out: Reviewers cite heat with no air conditioning, a dark hall and repairs needed.
Services: Air-Conditioned Halls
