Puay Chai offers budget-friendly badminton courts in SS 2, PJ with enough regulars to suggest steady availability. Lighting is the trade-off: some spots feel dim, others glare too bright depending on how many lights are on. Toilets need attention, but the hard courts and weeknight slots (9-11 pm weekdays noted as reliable) work well for casual play and practice.
Reviewers who visited recently praise the refurbished courts, clean facilities, and good lighting. Flooring is non-slip, parking is ample, and a pro shop is on-site. The booking process runs smoothly now. However, serious unresolved refund claims from five months ago remain a major issue. Older reviews cite poor ventilation, past water shortages, and booking system failures. The current management has improved physical conditions, but communication about customer money has not kept pace.
Dewan MPSJ SS15 draws regular players for its location and low hourly rates, but the hall shows age and lacks climate control. Courts run RM15/hour on a cement floor needing upkeep; toilets are sometimes clean, sometimes not. Booking online can be tricky for non-locals, and staff handling conflicts between groups is inconsistent.
Court quality and lighting draw players, but pricing and the risk of booking conflicts or parking shortages give pause. Most recent reviews are 8-9 years old, so current conditions are unclear.
The 2.3-star venue is plagued by a slippery, poorly maintained concrete floor that reviewers describe as unsafe for active play. Management has not addressed years of complaints about the court surface or invested in proper flooring.
Yonex offers courts at 15 ringgit per hour, among the cheapest private options in PJ. Courts open late (1am weekends), parking is available, and staff are friendly. Book a week ahead on weekends.
Multiple reviewers report the hall is uncomfortably hot despite air conditioning claims, with damaged courts and slow repairs. Booking management relies on handwritten records, leading to missed reservations, while staff communication is reported as dismissive and rude.
Limited review detail makes a full picture hard to draw. The 3.0 rating reflects mixed results: half the reviews are one or five stars, with no clear pattern in the text itself.
